Magic Launcher – Easy Mod Managment for Everyone

Modding Minecraft is not easy. Different mods require lots of different APIs and often overwrite the same classes or block and item IDs. If you’re going to use a lot of mods, you’re going to have a hard time keeping track of compatibility. Lucky for you, Magic Launcher is here to make it a bit easier. From the creator of Optifine¬†sp614x, this launcher has a lot of different features to help with modding and allow you to quickly check news and projects from the Minecraft community on Reddit, Twitter, the Forums and more.

Let’s start with the community features. Magic Launcher implements tabs into it’s design. There are several tabs, each of them with different community site feeds. There’s the Minecraft Subreddit, Notch’s Twitter, Jeb’s Twitter, The Word of Notch, Minecraft Forum News and the Minecraft Wiki. Each of these are important destinations if you want to be up-to-date with the current ongoings in the Minecraft community. They work fine, and you can browse them while you’re logging in. That’s all nice, but the best part of the launcher is the mod support.

The launcher lets you install mods through it in a very simple and easy manner. You go into a special menu where you customize your mod setup. You can have multiple setups at the same time, allowing you to have one mod on one setup, and another instead of it on the other setup. You could have a setup that has a big mod like Evil Minecraft, and another with a lot of small mods, and yet another for simple, mod minimum, SMP fun. This is an awesome feature I use extensively.

Actually adding mods is done very smoothly as well. You add mods by browsing to their .zip archive. They then appear on a mod list where you can customize the order the mods are applied in, which is especially useful for conflicting mods. You can also apply and cancel mods. Canceling keeps them on the list, but they aren’t ticked and they don’t load until you apply them again. This can be used to figure out exactly which mod is causing problems.

All these options make Magic Launcher a must-have for any Minecrafter. There are no downsides to using this launcher. It makes everything easier, more accessible and gives you more options, and does so without compromising safety or speed. You should get it immediately, and you can do so here:

Awesome! Thank you for sharing this! I started getting into Minecraft modding a month or so ago but got frustrated by how difficult it is to uninstall mods that have been installed manually to the jar. I’d heard bits of information about several mod launcher/organizer/whathaveyou programs but I wasn’t sure what one was closest to what I wanted and I’ve been lazy about looking into it. This program looks like exactly what I want! I will definitely be downloading and using it.
    Thanks again :)

  7. rusty says:

    howcan you change servers

    • LittleDinamit says:

You add new servers via the Multiplayer menu in the game. Just follow the menu, everything should be clearly labeled if you haven’t modded the game.

Got something to say? Go for it!
